Snow Pixel wanted to create an AR mobile game based on G1 Transformers franchise. The game uses the player’s mobile device GPS to add interactive objects, such as transformer disguised as a nearby vehicle, in proximity to the player’s real-world location.
The Client asked N-iX Games to design, model and animate characters for their game, leaning on classic and recognisable design but with a modern flavour, to make “old” transformers more eye-appealing to a younger audience.
At first, our studio had to finalize the concept art with Snow Pixel by providing a draft version of each character to the Client and start the modelling process only after its approval. But as cooperation continued, N-iX team started to understand the Client’s preferences better and better which allowed us to establish a powerful pipeline and shrink the discussion period to its minimum.
All members of our team worked as one to think through every detail of transformers appearance and how the transformation to alternate mode will affect them. Our dedicated artists tried to convey through animation the nature of each individual character whether it is honourable Autobot or traitorous Decepticon. In the end, our team came up with a large number of high-quality models and unique animations delivered ahead of schedule.
For upcoming mobile AR game, N-iX Games has developed its own unique design of transformers based on the 1st generation of the franchise and the client’s preferences. Our 3D artists and animators have done an excellent job by modeling and animating the iconic characters and delivering needed content ahead of schedule. Snow Pixel praised upon the amount of time and quality of accomplished work.
Let’s start with an in-depth analysis of your idea, a high-level quote, and project plan. Once we smoothen all the rough edges we can proceed to the complete design, development, and production of your game, followed by release and post-release support.
