We had an eventful year so far, with our active participation in various prestigious gaming conferences and summits. From the XDS Summit to Gamescom, Nordic Game Conference, and Digital Dragons Conference, we’ve been making waves and forging valuable connections across the gaming world.

External Development Summit

September 6-8 | Vancouver, Canada

The XDS Summit, an abbreviation for the External Development Summit, stands as an annual congregation that delves deep into the intricacies of external development within the gaming industry. It brings together professionals engaged in outsourcing, remote collaboration, and third-party partnerships for game development. Attendees engage in discussions surrounding best practices, strategies, and the latest trends in cross-development, rendering it an indispensable event for studios seeking to optimize their workflows and cultivate fruitful collaborations.

On the opening day of the conference, the Head of N-iX Game & VR Studio, Daniel Poludyonny, took the stage as a featured speaker in the ‘Resilience in Action – How External Development Companies Navigate Crises’ panel. Alongside other leaders of Ukraine’s top external development companies, he talked about how businesses navigated through 2022 and 2023, their contribution to the fight for independence, how our software expertise can help, and much more.

This year, N-iX Game & VR Studio proudly assumed the role of Gold Sponsor and hosted a N-iX Recharge Lounge where attendees could recharge their electronic devices and access hydration stations.

Gamescom

August 23-27 | Cologne, Germany

Gamescom, counted among the world’s largest and most prestigious gaming trade fairs, serves as a hallowed ground for game developers, publishers, hardware manufacturers, and gamers alike to congregate and celebrate the vibrant gaming culture. This event boasts an expansive exhibition area where companies unveil their latest games, gaming hardware, and cutting-edge innovations. It stands as a nexus for industry announcements, game premieres, and opportunities to connect with the global gaming community.

In partnership with our sister company, Wild Fields, we hosted a thematic booth, showcasing our recent creation, Speed Crew. Attendees had a chance to experience it either in co-op or solo. We were honored to welcome some of the most passionate gamers out there at Gamescom.

Develop:Brighton

July 11-13 | Brighton, England

In July, our team visited Develop:Brighton, a unique event in the UK that unites the local game-making industry. From global juggernauts to micro indies, this event brings together professionals to share insights, ideas, experiences, network, and conduct business in a warm and inclusive environment.

Nordic Game Conference

May 23-26 | Malmö, Sweden

In March, we went to the Nordic Game Conference. It is an annual event held in the Nordic region and casts its spotlight on every facet of the gaming industry. Renowned for its intimate ambiance, premium networking opportunities, and enlightening presentations, attendees engage in discussions spanning game development, business strategies, game design, and emerging technologies. This conference serves as the pivotal link connecting developers, investors, and other stakeholders within the Nordic gaming ecosystem.

Digital Dragons Conference

May 15-16 | Krakow, Poland

Established in 2012, the Digital Dragons Awards stand as one of Poland’s most esteemed game industry accolades. Presented annually at a grand gala event, these awards pay homage to excellence in game development, artistic achievement, relevance, and innovation. The accolades encompass a broad spectrum of games, ranging from AAA blockbusters to indie and mobile titles. While primarily spotlighting Polish developers, each year sees an international developer being honored.

Our Studio set up a stand at the Central and Eastern European (CEE) Showcase section, where attendees could experience Speed Crew firsthand, a month ahead of its official release, and engage in vibrant conversations with our team.

Game Development Conference

March 20-24 | San Francisco, USA

The Game Developers Conference, an annual event for video game developers, offers attendees a unique opportunity to glean insights from industry experts on an array of topics, including game design, programming, art, and sound design. For Unity developers, GDC serves as an exceptional platform to stay abreast of the latest features and advancements in the platform.

Over five days at GDC, our team connected with a multitude of game developers, gamers, and partners. For those seeking an adrenaline-pumping gaming experience, we offered the chance to play our then-upcoming game, Speed Crew, at our stylized booth.

At the conference, the game received the GDC Best in Play award for its game trailer.
