The Battle Pass is a seasonal event where players complete stages to unlock rewards, including unique crew members. N-iX Games contributed character art for several Battle Pass seasons.
For each season, our artists created a set of characters in a photo-realistic style designed to match the visual direction of the game.
During Battle Pass Season VIII, which introduced a crossover with the Warhammer 40,000 universe, our team produced several recognizable characters that players could recruit as tank commanders. These included Volusad Thassius, lieutenant of the Ultramarines, Death Guard Dolgoth Sepk, Kroglin da Facegrinda from the Evil Sunz clan, and others.
World of Tanks uses a freemium model that offers players additional vehicle customization options. As part of this system, Wargaming regularly introduces themed tank styles and visual upgrades.
Our team created several of these styles and emblems. One example was the “Touchdown” style introduced to celebrate the start of the NFL’s 99th season. The scope also included historically accurate camouflage patterns. At the beginning of production, Wargaming provided themes and references for each tank style.
To create the assets, our artists used procedurally generated seamless textures built in Substance Designer. This approach allowed us to adjust texture scale without losing quality. To test camouflage patterns across different vehicles, the team used custom visualization tools provided by Wargaming.
In addition to character and vehicle art, our team produced a variety of UI elements for in-game events.
These included icons for equipment items, medals, tournament badges, charms, and other rewards. The assets were created for events such as Lunar New Year celebrations, seasonal Battle Passes, and other limited-time activities within the game.
Let’s start with an in-depth analysis of your idea, a high-level quote, and project plan. Once we smoothen all the rough edges we can proceed to the complete design, development, and production of your game, followed by release and post-release support.
